Just yesterday, Shift Up released the latest update for Stellar Blade, version 1.009.002, and it comes with some good news for gamers. They’ve squashed a pesky bug that was causing major disruptions. This glitch surfaced after last month’s Nier: Automata DLC and the addition of a photo mode, leading the developers to urge players to hold tight until they could roll out this much-needed fix.
## Stellar Blade Update 1.009.002 (November 25, 2024) Patch Notes
Here’s a look at what’s been addressed in this patch:
– They’ve tackled a problem where the game would occasionally crash when using Photo Mode.
– An issue forcing the film grain effect when using Photo Mode in Xion has been resolved.
– A bug blocking progress in the Main Quest when completing Photo challenge requests has also been fixed.
– There was a hiccup with the Nier: Automata collaboration items disappearing if you changed difficulty settings after saving at camp—thankfully, that’s sorted.
– Lastly, the selfie camera item is now usable again after you take the elevator near Altes Levoire in the Wasteland.
Players have been thrilled with the Nier DLC and the new photo mode, so much so that there’s a growing call for more crossover content in the future. As a fun little bonus, the update snuck in an Easter egg where Eve playfully kicks the camera if you attempt to peek up her skirt.
As an added bonus for those contemplating diving into the game, Stellar Blade is now on sale for the first time since its launch in the ongoing PS Store promotion.
