This glitch surfaced after last month’s Nier: Automata DLC and the addition of a photo mode, leading the developers to urge players to hold tight until they could roll out this much-needed fix.

– There was a hiccup with the Nier: Automata collaboration items disappearing if you changed difficulty settings after saving at camp—thankfully, that’s sorted.
– Lastly, the selfie camera item is now usable again after you take the elevator near Altes Levoire in the Wasteland.

Players have been thrilled with the Nier DLC and the new photo mode, so much so that there’s a growing call for more crossover content in the future. As a fun little bonus, the update snuck in an Easter egg where Eve playfully kicks the camera if you attempt to peek up her skirt.
