Hello Trailblazers! It’s been a while, but we’re back with some exciting updates from the Honkai: Star Rail development team. We can’t wait to share all about version 2.7, titled “A New Venture on the Eighth Dawn.” Mark your calendars for December 4! This will be the final chapter before the Astral Express embarks on its journey to the enigmatic Amphoreus, also known as the Eternal Land. As we bid farewell to Penacony, we’re gearing up for what version 3.0 has in store.
Previously, the intriguing Black Swan hinted at Amphoreus as the Crew’s next destination—a realm so mysterious that even Akivili, the Aeon of the Trailblaze, couldn’t uncover it. This piqued the interest of Miss Himeko, the Navigator, who starts collecting intel on this cryptic place. But before leaping into the unknown, the Crew stops at Penacony, taking time to reconnect with friends and cherish a few more memories before the next big adventure.
### Old friends, new beginnings
Do you remember that unforgettable performance at the Penacony Grand Theater? It feels remarkably fresh, doesn’t it? Both the Astral Express and Penacony have emerged from a dream, and so has Sunday. Sharing the stage with Mr. Sunday again is simply exhilarating. He’s stepping away from his role as head of the Oak Family to experience life in the “mortal realm,” where he’ll chase his vision for utopia, forsaking the blessings from Harmony and Order. Thanks to a secretive Pepeshi named Wonweek, Sunday returns to Penacony with a plan: one final, unforgettable performance. Draped in new attire to disguise his identity, he’s ready for his last act in this Planet of Festivities.
Sunday, a 5-star Imaginary character, is a fantastic Support asset. His Skill lets an ally take immediate action and boosts their DMG output. If that ally has a Summon, the ally and the Summon can both act immediately, amplifying the DMG Boost even further. When Sunday activates his Ultimate, he regenerates Energy for an ally, making both the ally and their Summon “The Beatified.” This grants them a halo that enhances their CRIT DMG.
Another exciting character on the horizon is Fugue, known to us as our dear Tingyun. Once a clever foxian, she now grapples with a stolen name, appearance, and identity. But destiny offers her a glimmer of hope despite the unrest caused by the mark of Destruction. After barely escaping death in version 1.2’s main storyline during a clash with Phantylia, Madam Ruan Mei of the Genius Society saved her, granting her a second chance at life. Lately, when Himeko and Welt stopped by Madam Ruan Mei’s place, they decided to escort Miss Tingyun back home.
Fugue is a 5-star Fire character and excels in aiding allies by reducing enemy Toughness, irrespective of Type Weaknesses. When she’s in action, enemies plunge into the Cloudflame Luster state. Once this state depletes, the target suffers Break DMG all over again. Plus, when her teammates attack Weakness Broken foes, they cause Super Break DMG. Fugue also employs her Technique to enhance ally Break Effects. Her Ultimate deals Fire DMG to all foes while ignoring Weakness Type, swiftly lowering their Toughness.
Moreover, familiar faces like the 5-star characters General Jing Yuan and Firefly will make a comeback during the version 2.7 warp event, appearing in its first and second halves, respectively. Their powerful support will be indispensable as you continue your adventures.
### Diving deeper into gameplay possibilities
Version 2.7 opens up new gameplay dimensions alongside story advancements. Step into the Astral Express’s new Party Car, where luxury meets nostalgia. Guests will be greeted by a spacious reception area complete with a sleek marble bar, complemented by a retro-style bartending robot. Enjoy a drink with the Crew while marveling at the cosmic landscape, or indulge in quiet reflection by the window.
Head upstairs to discover the Trailblazer’s quarters. Participate in the Cosmic Home Décor Guide event, transforming a plain storage area into your personal retreat, complete with a cozy bedroom and bathroom. By earning Express Funds through various tasks, you can gradually furnish this space, making it a reflection of your cosmic journey.
And here’s another thrilling update: come version 3.0, the Relic system is getting additional enhancements. During synthesis, you’ll be able to customize both a Relic’s Main Stat and Subsidiary Stats using specialized tools. By employing Wishful Resin alongside Self-Modeling Resin, you can fine-tune both the Main and Sub Stats of a Relic simultaneously.
Before wrapping up, an exciting announcement—Pom-Pom found something special while organizing the storage for the Trailblazers! From version 2.7 through the end of version 3.2, Trailblazers can claim a Gift of the Express, allowing them to select one regular 5-star character.
