Retro publishing firm, Inin Games, has taken over the publishing rights for Shenmue 3, marking an exciting chapter in the game’s journey.
In a recent announcement, Inin Games revealed that their partnership with Shenmue 3’s developer, YsNet, grew out of working together on the game Air Twister.
Shenmue 3, part of the much-loved and critically acclaimed Shenmue series, was a highly anticipated sequel when it finally launched in 2019, following its announcement back in 2015. Before Inin Games stepped in, Deep Silver was the company responsible for getting the game into players’ hands.
“We at Inin Games are honored to carry the Shenmue torch forward during such a significant moment in the series’ history,” the company expressed, with evident enthusiasm.
Reflecting on the series’ enduring legacy, they continued, “Our commitment to preserving and expanding Ryo Hazuki’s journey is as strong as ever, welcoming both die-hard fans and those new to the saga.”
This transition doesn’t mark the end for Shenmue. Inin Games hinted at exciting plans to celebrate the series’ milestones, ensuring that it continues to thrive and captivate audiences. They urged fans to stay tuned for upcoming announcements, teasing a bold vision for the next chapter in Shenmue’s storied legacy.
