Recently, a new teaser trailer for Alien: Earth dropped, and while it doesn’t offer much to feast our eyes on, we finally have a release window to look forward to.
With each teaser for Alien: Earth, it feels like we’re no closer to actually seeing the full show. The first teaser mainly introduced us to the Alien and Earth, and today’s sneak peek is so brief that blinking means missing it. Released earlier, this latest teaser practically mirrors the original, showcasing once again the reflection of Earth on the xenomorph’s shiny, ominous head. Plus, there’s a light-hearted joke delivered by the trailer’s voiceover: “In 2120, mother Earth is expecting.” But expecting what? The humor here riffs on the concept of pregnancy, hinting at an alien arrival—quite the odd fit with the series’ usually grim vibe. But what do I know? I don’t dabble in marketing.
Aside from those shots, it’s mostly glitchy glimpses of alien-esque things and a scream, making it rather cryptic. However, it does give away one crucial tidbit: Alien: Earth will premiere on Hulu in the summer of 2025. Previously, we only knew it was coming next year, so this gives us a clearer target. As we await a full-length trailer and a specific release date, viewers in the UK and elsewhere can reasonably expect it to premiere on Disney+, likely with the need to disable family-friendly viewing options.
The Alien franchise is enjoying a good run lately. Alien: Romulus, the latest installment, did well enough to secure a sequel. And with the Predator series experiencing its own revival—Badlands, the next entry, premieres next year, putting the iconic alien front and center—there might even be another Alien vs. Predator crossover on the horizon.
