The highly anticipated "Secrets of the Spires" DLC for Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora has just landed for Season Pass holders, bringing along fresh achievements, a brand-new map, and an enticing story campaign. As we digest this latest content offering, it will be intriguing to see if it positions Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora amongst the top open-world games on the Xbox.
Exclusively Available Now: Secrets of the Spires
After a brief delay, "Secrets of the Spires" makes its debut as the second story expansion for those holding the Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora Season Pass. This update introduces five new Xbox achievements and weighs in at about 17.5GB for Xbox Series X|S users. Highlights include the new Spires of the Clouded Forest map area, alongside new skills, gear, and an engaging story campaign. While it builds on the main narrative, players can opt to dive straight into this new content.
Ubisoft paints a vivid picture, stating, "Get ready for epic aerial battles in the Spires of the Clouded Forest, a spectacularly mountainous locale in Pandora’s Western Frontier. Brave new heights and experience the exhilaration of flying on your ikran like never before."
"Take down RDA aerial convoys with enhanced ikran skills and a powerful new mounted weapon. Unite with a secluded Na’vi clan to counter a fresh RDA danger within the Spires. The complexity of the region, with its canyons and caves, promises new challenges lurking unexpectedly in the shadows."
We’ve highlighted the five new achievements from "Secrets of the Spires" below, straight from the patch notes.

There are some known issues: a temporary fix is being deployed for PC players facing challenges on Windows 11 24H2, and PlayStation 5 users may encounter menu narration issues. Across all platforms, various gameplay elements are experiencing minor issues which are actively being addressed.
Looking ahead, it’s uncertain what Ubisoft might have in its pipeline for Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora. Given the mixed outcomes of Ubisoft’s 2024 releases, and with Star Wars Outlaws undergoing continuous updates, there’s much speculation on how Ubisoft will develop Pandora further.
The concluding story pack, "The Sky Breaker," keeps players engaged for about six to eight hours, leaving us curious about the duration and depth of "Secrets of the Spires."
Personally, the ikran-focused content excites me the most about revisiting the game, yet one must wonder about Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora’s long-term appeal. While there are bits for Avatar enthusiasts to explore, it’s uncertain how it will fare in the gaming community’s eyes over time.
A more expansive array of ikran content could significantly enhance the Avatar experience. Flying over Pandora was a highlight in earlier reviews, and with this new DLC, I’m hopeful that it will bring richer dynamics to our ikran adventures and elevate aerial combat mechanics.
