Epic Games has announced some changes in Fortnite’s XP system, aiming to better cater to players’ needs. They’ve bumped up the Daily Bonus Goal rewards to 75,000 XP, fixed the LEGO Fortnite Quest to reward 25,000 XP instead of a mere 700, and increased the weekly XP available from various game modes. This update comes in response to player feedback since the launch of Chapter 6, Season 1, which introduced numerous tweaks alongside new features.
This season, also known as Hunters, is infused with a Feudal Japan theme, blending ancient and modern settings across the map. Players can engage with new spirit boon bonuses, wield new swords and hitscan weapons, and even encounter a roaming boss named Shogun X. Sandboxing changes have also been introduced, though not all have been met with enthusiasm.
With Chapter 6’s debut, some natural aspects of XP progression were tightened, much to the players’ dismay as they found the leveling grind to have bogged down. The latest discourse on this subject reached Epic Games, prompting them to actively adjust Fortnite’s XP dynamics.
In a lively update on social media, Epic shared news of boosting Fortnite’s Daily Bonus Goal from 60k to 75k XP each day. Although this isn’t quite back to previous levels—considering the shift in how Daily Quests are distributed across multiple game modes rather than one unified pool—it marks an improvement. They’re also enhancing weekly XP gains in Save the World, Reload, Creative, and LEGO Fortnite modes. Moreover, the LEGO Fortnite Quest XP correction reinstates a healthy 25,000 XP reward.
Many seasoned Fortnite players, despite these improvements, remain somewhat disgruntled, yearning for the older systems. Whether Epic will implement further changes remains uncertain, but there’s no denying the game maintains massive popularity. Chapter 2 Remix alone shattered Fortnite’s concurrent player records during its concluding event.
Fortnite continues to offer a vibrant mix of experiences whether you’re building skies high in Battle Royale or navigating the fast pace of Zero Build. Each island promises a fresh challenge, inviting players to team up and pursue that elusive Victory Royale, all while showcasing the dynamic and unpredictable nature that keeps gamers hooked.
