Get ready, because a well-known engineering puzzle game is gearing up for release on the Quest platform this week, and it’s bringing a hefty dose of bridge-building fun in both virtual reality and mixed reality formats on Quest.
Initially, Bridge Constructor Studio was set to make its debut last week, introducing its immersive bridge construction experience to Quest in VR. Plus, for those using Quest 3, it offers the exciting prospect of building, testing, and tweaking bridges right in mixed reality. Although there’s been a slight delay, the anticipation is still high.
Mark your calendars for December 12th, as Bridge Constructor Studio is coming with a robust offering of 70 puzzles in its main campaign. Players will need to navigate the challenge of transporting various vehicles from start to finish using an assortment of construction materials like wood, steel, cables, concrete supports, and road surfaces.
This version takes a different approach compared to the previous flat-screen releases of Bridge Constructor, or even its main competitor, Poly Bridge. Here, the XR version removes default limitations on budget and materials, although, for those looking to push their skills, enabling them can earn you a “special award,” according to the developers.
Beyond its campaign, Bridge Constructor Studio invites creativity with a Scenario Creation Mode. This feature allows players to design and engage with their own custom bridge-building challenges, and you can stash up to 40 personalized levels in your player profile.
The brains behind Bridge Constructor Studio is ClockStone STUDIO, the same team responsible for transforming LEGO Bricktales (2023) into both flat and XR experiences, as well as crafting the original Bridge Constructor series that started back in 2011.
The game will be available for $10 starting on December 12th and is exclusively launching for Quest 2 and 3. You can grab your copy from the Horizon Store here.
