Back in July, Attack on Titan VR: Unbreakable made its debut in Early Access for Quest, introducing a single mission, or ‘chapter’, along with a few collectible blades. It was a teaser of what was in store, with the promise of more content rolling out in the coming months. Fast forward to now, and developer UNIVRS has unveiled the ‘Complete Edition’, which sees the game expand to four full chapters.
When we first tried the game in July, it felt a bit like a tech demo. While it did showcase a chunk of its core gameplay, it was quite limited, featuring only that one chapter along with an infinite wave mode, complete with the usual leaderboards.
With the Complete Edition now available, players can dive back in and explore chapters three and four, tackle the Epilogue, and face off against an Armored Titan boss, adding much-needed depth to the experience.
One exciting addition is the chance to play co-op for the first time, allowing friends to tackle all the chapters together for a richer experience.
UNIVRS didn’t stop at just releasing the full game, though. They’ve also teased an event called the ‘Thunder Spear Unlock Event’ slated for January, calling it a “global challenge.” Plus, there’s a free update on the horizon in 2025, as mentioned on the game’s webpage.
Despite our earlier impression of the game feeling somewhat "rough," it seems to have struck a chord with fans. As of now, Attack on Titan VR: Unbreakable boasts an impressive 4.5 out of 5 user rating on the Horizon Store.
For those who already own the Early Access version, Part 2 is available as a free download. If you’re new to the game, you can purchase Part 1 on its own for $8, Part 2 for $12 (though you’ll need Part 1), or snag both parts together for $20. The game is compatible with Quest 2, Quest 3/S, and Quest Pro devices.
