PQube and Inti Creates have officially announced when Gal Guardians: Servants of the Dark will be hitting the Nintendo Switch.
Drawing inspiration from gothic aesthetics, this 2D action-adventure transports players to the Demon Realm, a desolate world torn apart by an endless civil war among Demon Lords vying for dominance.
Enter Kirikia and Masha, loyal maids to Demon Lord Maxim. Upon returning to their castle, they’re horrified to find it in ruins thanks to the mischievous deeds of rival Demon Lord Lyzenorg. Armed with determination, these two embark on an epic quest to restore their Master’s former majesty.
The game promises a range of exciting features such as:
*GalGun-vania**: Dive into a full-fledged metroidvania where every corner of the Demon Realm presents new combo opportunities and secrets with two upgradeable characters.
Revive Your Allies: As you rescue Maxim’s followers, you bolster your castle, strengthening your base. This progression unlocks extra perks that aid your mission for vengeance.
Sister Power: Kirika and Masha bring distinct combat styles to the table: Kirika with demonic guns and Masha with her trusty whip for close encounters.
Couch and Online Co-op: Enjoy the game with a friend, either locally or online, with each player controlling one of the sisters. This dynamic can lead to unlocking new areas or tackling formidable foes through teamwork.
Collect and Craft: Gather random drops from enemies and chests, snag consumable items, powerful sub-weapons, and valuable "Demon Relics." These items help you develop special abilities to uncover unexplored sections of the map.
Choose Your "Style": Adopting the "Style" system from its predecessor, choose between "Casual," "Veteran," or "Legend" modes. You’re free to switch up your play style at any point, with consistent content across all modes.
