Today marks the debut of Alien: Rogue Incursion on PSVR 2 and PC VR headsets, while fans of the Quest platform can anticipate the Xenomorph-themed horror shooter in February next year. Meanwhile, Survios, the game’s developer, has revealed they’re already hard at work on ‘Part Two.’
In our full review of Part One, we awarded the game a respectable 7 out of 10. We found the ambiance highly immersive, supported by a compelling narrative. However, it was somewhat let down by repetitive enemy encounters and a rather unforgiving save system.
Although Part One stands strong on its own, offering around eight hours of gameplay filled with Xenomorph encounters and intriguing story elements, you’ll undoubtedly find yourself eager for Part Two once the curtain falls.
Details about what’s coming next are still scarce, but it seems like Part Two is set to introduce some much-needed diversity, moving beyond the similar Xenomorph packs seen in the first installment. Survios has teased that Zula’s journey will continue, with deadlier foes and tougher challenges ahead, and they’ve confirmed that development is already underway.
Before diving into Part Two, however, all eyes are on the upcoming Quest release of Part One. It’s scheduled to launch exclusively on Quest 3/3S on February 13th, 2025. Adapting the game’s intricately designed levels, detailed visuals, and physics-based interactions for the Quest 3’s mobile chipset seems to be a significant undertaking, which likely explains the delayed release.
Nonetheless, with the core systems of Part One already established, we’re optimistic about a swift development cycle for Zula Hendricks’ next (and possibly final) mission to wipe out every last Xenomorph from the rogue science station.
