The team at 3R Games, who brought us Thief Simulator VR: Greenview Street (2022), recently shared some exciting news: the game has surpassed 310,000 sales on Quest platforms alone.
In an announcement made on social media last week, 3R Games highlighted that this impressive figure spans across all Quest devices, including the Quest 2, 3, 3S, and the Pro. It’s noteworthy that the game is also available for PSVR 2 users.
The studio confirmed these numbers reflect actual sales, which means at its usual price of $20 for Quest, potential revenue could hit around $6.2 million. Of course, the game has seen price drops now and then, sometimes dipping as low as $9, which it’s priced at currently. Nevertheless, revenue gets a boost from the paid expansion packs, ensuring the total earnings comfortably sit in the million-dollar range.
Launched in July 2022, Thief Simulator VR: Greenview Street delivers a substantial slice of the immersive break-and-enter experience that fans of the original Thief Simulator from 2018, created by Noble Muffins, know and love.
Unlike Thief Simulator VR (2020) by GameBoom VR, which was only accessible on PC VR headsets, Greenview Street centers exclusively on its namesake neighborhood.
Since Greenview Street debuted, 3R Games has rolled out several paid DLCs with expansions like Richie R. Street, The Motel, and Spooky House, alongside numerous paid skin packs. For Quest users, there’s a bundle option featuring the base game plus all the DLCs, available for just $23.
