Social Discovery Group, the innovative entity behind platforms like Dating.com and DateMyAge.com, is taking a bold step forward with the launch of a new venture studio. This initiative, aimed at making virtual intimacy a standard part of everyday life, is set to support emerging startups in the realms of AI-enhanced communication, extended reality (XR) innovations, and social discovery platforms.
Introducing SDG Lab, the company has committed to an annual investment of $20 million. They’ve designed a clear and efficient fundraising process, allowing budding entrepreneurs to secure initial seed funding to kickstart their product development. Plus, there’s additional support for scaling their businesses as they grow.
Among the standout investments by SDG Lab are platforms like the virtual dating space ‘VR Chat&Date’, alongside niche dating applications such as Kiseki, Flure, and AstroLove. These initiatives are already making waves in the digital relationship arena.
Helmed by Alex Kudos, the former Chief Marketing Officer of Social Discovery Group, SDG Lab aims to provide more than just financial backing. They’re equipping startups focused on social discovery and connection with a range of critical resources, including legal aid, back-office operations, technological infrastructure, and marketing know-how.
“Social interaction is undergoing a transformation, and the digital realm of intimacy is where we are headed next,” says Alex Kudos, now the CEO of SDG Lab. “At SDG Lab, we’re not just investing in concepts—we are actively shaping the future of how humans connect. By partnering with ambitious entrepreneurs, we are crafting technologies that enable people to forge meaningful relationships, regardless of distance.”
Kudos continues, “Virtual relationships and AI-fueled connections have moved well beyond the realm of science fiction; they’ve become integral to our digital lives. SDG Lab is committed to developing the next wave of products that will redefine how people meet, interact, and form relationships online.”
