If the ongoing rumors and leaks hold any truth, it seems Xbox might have quite an eventful year ahead concerning the PS5. The latest buzz stems from Bethesda, as sharp-eyed fans spotted the PlayStation logo on the modding page for their space RPG, Starfield.
### PlayStation Logo Surfaces on Starfield’s Mod Page
A discovery made by YouTuber 510deshawn and shared on the GamingLeaksAndRumours subreddit has stirred up conversation. One of the Starfield mods, crafted by a user named ValleysEdge, briefly displayed the PlayStation logo among its platform options. Although the logo was quickly removed, and the mod itself vanished from the website, screenshots continue to circulate for those intrigued by this development.
Speculation about a Starfield PS5 port has been rife for over a year. Considering what’s on the horizon for Sony’s gaming hub, as well as other whispers about upcoming titles, it’s not far-fetched to think Bethesda might eventually roll out Starfield on the console. However, a report from March of last year stated otherwise, suggesting there were no plans for a PS5 version. Whether the situation has evolved since then remains a mystery until we hear something official.
Upon its launch for Xbox Series X|S and PC in 2023, Starfield was generally well-received. However, it didn’t quite hit the upper echelons of critical acclaim some expected. According to Metacritic, its average score settled at 83, based on 81 reviews.
Looking at what Xbox has set for the PS5, Forza Horizon 5 is due to hit the console next month. Additionally, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is on the calendar for a spring 2025 release, with some whispers hinting at an earlier launch next month. Moreover, World’s Edge has confirmed that Age of Empires 2: Definitive Edition is also headed to PS5. Although a firm date hasn’t been released, a fresh update hints that the real-time strategy classic could drop sometime in April.
