Which is more daunting: trying to master those clunky N64 FPS controls or realizing it’s been almost a year and a half since the last Genesis update dropped?
Tonight, two first-person shooters boasting lineage from the Iguana development team have made their way onto the N64’s “mature” app. Say hello to Turok 2: The Seeds of Evil (1998) and Shadow Man (1999), both brainchildren of Acclaim’s Iguana studios—Turok crafted in the U.S., and Shadow Man over in the UK. They’ve now landed on the 17+ NSO app, marking the third expansion pack update this month. This update trails recent releases like F-Zero’s GP Legend / Climax, and last week’s addition of Banjo-Tooie.
Both games have undergone remasters for the Switch, with Turok 2 resurfacing in 2019 and Shadow Man following suit in 2022.
