This is not a joke! New details about 2XKO have hit social media, and they’ve added a layer of excitement to this month that we weren’t quite anticipating. The buzz centers on an upcoming development update video, and we can now confidently say that soon we’ll have a comprehensive rundown on the changes coming to the game, Jinx, and what to expect for the next Alpha Lab test.
Who’s behind this announcement? None other than Mr. Ben Forbes, the editor-in-chief at 2XKO, who took to Twitter with the news. He tweeted, “We just wrapped filming the next 2XKO update! We’re currently in the editing, production, and localization stages but here’s what’s on deck: An in-depth look at the gameplay changes since Alpha Lab 1 (including Jinx!), some background and info on Alpha Lab 2, and a showmatch featuring the dev team.”
He didn’t stop there. Forbes added, “This update is quite detailed and goes deep, so the video is a bit lengthy (probably around an hour or so). We’re aiming to release this update in the last week of March. While we’re not ready to dive into PowerPoint livestreams just yet, it’s something we might consider down the line…”
But hold on to your excitement, as Ben did clarify that there won’t be any new character reveals in this update. So, no need to start speculating wildly just yet.
Originally, the 2XKO team ended last year with a teaser, promising new details in February. However, game director Shaun Rivera later took to Twitter himself to share a few adjustments. These changes include a shift in the scope of the upcoming Alpha Labs test and a new game feature.
Apparently, timelines have been adjusted slightly at Riot, and along with some changes to the Alpha Lab tests, the anticipated February update has been nudged to this month. Regardless, with the game slated for release later this year, it’ll be refreshing to get a current overview of what’s happening behind the scenes and what might be on the horizon for 2XKO as it steps further into the public eye.
