Last week, pre-orders for Monster Hunter Wilds claimed the spot as the third highest in sales on Steam. As we inch closer to its release on February 28th, it’s clear that anticipation is building for this latest addition to Capcom’s beloved action RPG franchise. To put this into perspective, after the debut of Monster Hunter World back in 2019, Capcom revealed that its PC version was the second most successful platform for the game.
Meanwhile, Counter-Strike 2 climbed back to the top position, with Civilization 7 also seeing a rise in popularity. This strategic gem launched on February 10th, landing initially in third but its true success might have been underestimated due to only having one day’s worth of chart data. Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 experienced a slight drop, moving down three spots to fourth, though it’s still riding high from crossing the impressive two million sales mark. Notably, Apex Legends saw a massive jump, leaping 22 places to secure the fifth spot thanks to the buzz from a fresh season of new content.
In other shifts, Valve’s Steam Deck, PUBG: Battlegrounds, and Marvel Rivals each slipped a spot to sixth, seventh, and eighth. The newcomer, Avowed from Obsidian, made its debut at ninth. Completing the list, Warframe made a comeback into the Top Ten, moving up by two positions.
Here’s how the Steam Top Ten stacked up for the week ending February 18th:
1. Counter-Strike 2, Valve
2. Sid Meier’s Civilization 7, 2K Games
3. Monster Hunter Wilds, Capcom (P)
4. Kingdom Come Deliverance 2, Plaion
5. Apex Legends, EA
6. Steam Deck, Valve
