This year, PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium subscribers have something exciting to look forward to. Four new games are set to be added to the service’s Game Catalog when they launch. Among them is Remedy Entertainment’s latest venture, FBC: Firebreak, a multiplayer first-person shooter, which has recently been slated for a Summer 2025 release.
Set in the intriguing confines of The Oldest House—home of the Federal Bureau of Control and the backdrop for the critically acclaimed Control—FBC: Firebreak marks a departure from Remedy’s typical lore-heavy style. This time, the focus is squarely on gameplay. Remedy is crafting a live-service game that stands apart from the typical pressure-to-play entanglements we often see in the genre. All the content will be free, empowering players to engage at their own rhythm without feeling the pressure of missing out.
The latest trailer unveils the Paper Chase Job, one of several missions in FBC: Firebreak. Here, players find themselves tasked with clearing a section of The Oldest House that has become overrun with rogue sticky notes. The preview also gives a glimpse of the various loadouts players will have at their disposal in their ongoing battle against the pervasive Hiss threat.
Once launched, FBC: Firebreak will be playable on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Epic Games Store and Steam.
But FBC: Firebreak isn’t the only game to look forward to. Three other titles will also make their debut on the Game Catalog at launch, including Lost Records: Bloom & Rage, Blue Prince, and Abiotic Factor. The initial part of Lost Records is currently accessible for PS Plus Extra and Premium members, and the second part is expected to arrive next month.
In addition to these game offerings, PS Plus members can also enjoy early access to the PS Store’s Spring Sale. It’s a great chance to snag some fantastic deals on popular games like Cyberpunk 2077 and Call of Duty: Black Ops 6.
