Over the past year, we’ve been thrilled to watch the Xbox app’s community and player interaction on Windows PCs skyrocket. As of today, we’re excited to unveil that the new Home experience, previously tested by Xbox Insiders, is now accessible to everyone using the Xbox app on Windows PC. This update streamlines the process for players to dive into their favorite games and explore exciting new titles with ease.
The refreshed Home screen shines a spotlight on featured content, keeping players in the loop about the latest game launches, upcoming events, Game Pass additions, sales, and more. You’ll also find new curated collections and personalized recommendations. Plus, the “Jump back in” feature simplifies returning to a game, especially in Compact Mode, allowing users to leap back into action right from the game’s hub.
While Game Pass remains a go-to for accessing a range of incredible titles, the Xbox app is also evolving into an excellent resource for discovering Xbox games not available through Game Pass. Early this summer, we partnered with various developers to integrate all PC games featuring Xbox capabilities into the app. We’re eager to see what new Xbox games will land on Windows PC, with nearly 400 titles now more accessible and available for purchase than ever before.
Among these newfound additions are numerous games from esteemed Japanese developers Kemco and Kairosoft. You’ll also find gems like “Shovel Knight Treasure Trove” from Yacht Club, “The Jackbox Party Pack,” and “The Invincible” by Double 11, alongside many others.
Even more exciting, over 100 of these recently added titles are Xbox Play Anywhere enabled. This means players who own an Xbox console version can also enjoy the game on their PC, and vice versa. This flexibility, coupled with universal cloud saves and cross-play capabilities across Xbox consoles, PCs, and potentially other platforms (if developers allow it), is truly appreciated by gamers.
