Supergiant Games has rolled out its second major update for Hades 2 on PC, which is still in the early access stage. This latest update, called the Warsong Update, takes players to the peak of Mount Olympus for what the developers are calling “the final showdown.” One of the notable additions in this update is Ares, the god of war, alongside a host of other features like a new animal companion, expanded story and voice lines, reworked boons, the Altar of Ashes, enhanced resource gathering, and more streamlined menus.
Here’s a quick rundown of what Supergiant Games has shared:
Discussing the development journey, Supergiant Games posted an update saying they’re already planning their third major update, which should arrive “in a few months.” However, they also mentioned it’s a bit too soon to talk about when Hades 2 will officially leave early access and be fully released.
“Continuing with our Early Access approach is crucial for developing Hades II, and we hope our major updates and various patches reflect our ongoing effort,” the team stated. “Now that we’ve nailed down the core structure of the Underworld and Surface routes, we’re really eager to enrich the game’s content, completing more of what we started… until it’s all done!”
As for the Warsong Update itself, it’s completely free. Supergiant Games has noted that players might need to restart Steam to kickstart the download process.
