Intel has exciting news for gaming enthusiasts: their XeSS 1 technology is now featured in over 150 games, and more are on the horizon as they continue to roll out XeSS 2.
Intel made waves as the first discreet GPU manufacturer to roll out a super-sampling technique, with its introduction of the Intel Arc Alchemist lineup. Now, two years later, we’ve seen XeSS evolve, reaching its latest form as XeSS 2.
Even though XeSS 2 hasn’t achieved widespread integration yet, the original XeSS 1.0 and its progressive updates have become a staple in many games. Intel recently announced with great pride that a whopping 150 titles now support XeSS, and that list keeps expanding.
For those interested in seeing what games are utilizing this tech, there’s a comprehensive list including some big-name modern triple-A titles. However, Intel’s XeSS still faces stiff competition from the likes of AMD’s FSR and NVIDIA’s DLSS.
Intel Gaming shared, “We’ve hit the mark on 150+ games with #XeSS support, with more on the way! Experience peak gaming for yourself with Intel XeSS AI upscaling today.”
Although Intel has made strides, they recognize there’s still ground to cover to stand toe-to-toe with their competitors. Most of the games today incorporate XeSS 1 and its updates, but XeSS 2 remains sparse across gaming titles. Currently, only “F1 2024” and “Marvel Rivals” support XeSS 2. Nonetheless, titles like “Assassin’s Creed Shadows” and “Killing Floor 3” are gearing up to include the latest XeSS 2 tech soon.
Additionally, some games offer Intel’s XeSS Frame Generation, yet it’s not as prevalent as FSR and DLSS Frame Gen methods. It’s important to note that XeSS 2 and Frame Generation are compatible only with Intel Arc Battlemage GPUs. At present, this lineup includes the Arc B580 and Arc B570 GPUs, but their availability remains limited.
