CD Projekt RED has officially announced that they are using Deep Learning Super Sampling (DLSS) technology to aid in bringing Cyberpunk 2077 Ultimate Edition to the Nintendo Switch 2.
In a conversation with Digital Foundry, a developer from the company explained, “We’re implementing a specialized version of DLSS that’s tailored for Nintendo Switch 2 hardware, leveraging Nvidia’s Tensor cores. The game operates with DLSS across all four modes: handheld and docked, both in terms of performance and quality variations.”
They elaborated further, saying, “Our goal is to achieve a 1080p resolution in docked quality, docked performance, and handheld quality modes, while aiming for 720p in handheld performance mode.”
Prepare to dive into the immersive world of Cyberpunk 2077, an open-world action-adventure RPG where you take on the role of V, a cyber-enhanced mercenary battling for survival and prestige in a dystopian future. You’ll explore the vibrant and sprawling Night City through both the base game and its thrilling expansion, Phantom Liberty.
The game is designed to run seamlessly in any play mode, featuring enhancements like motion controls for combat, Gyroscope Mode for exceptional precision, and the ability to navigate menus or inventories with touch gestures. You can even use the Joy-Con 2 (R) as a mouse.
Cyberpunk 2077 Ultimate Edition is set to hit both the physical and digital shelves of the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch 2 on June 5, 2025.
