Focus Entertainment has officially begun work on the eagerly anticipated Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 3. This news was revealed through a teaser video posted on YouTube, although the studio is keeping further details close to the chest for now. Despite kicking off development on Space Marine 3, the team’s current attention is still largely devoted to Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2.
Serving as a direct sequel to the original 2011 game created by Relic Entertainment, Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2 has taken the gaming community by storm. It quickly became the fastest-selling game for Saber Interactive’s CEO, delivering an intense and chaotic experience that only the Warhammer 40K universe can provide. Players don the power armor of a Space Marine, battling swarms of enemies with advanced weapons. Given Space Marine 2’s popularity, Focus Entertainment’s announcement leaves fans buzzing with anticipation.
In collaboration with Saber Interactive and Games Workshop, a 15-second teaser was recently uploaded by Focus Entertainment, marking the beginning of Space Marine 3’s development. The short clip showcases Space Marine Titus looking sternly ahead as rain pours over him, with the game’s title looming beside him. While no additional information about gameplay or release timing was disclosed, fans have flooded the comments with positive feedback, hoping for another hit following the success of Space Marine 2.
Although currently under development, Focus Entertainment remains committed to enhancing and expanding Space Marine 2. Back in January, the company laid out a vibrant plan for 2025, including a roadmap brimming with new content slated for the first half of the year. February saw the introduction of Datavault expansions, which allow players to tackle Ordeals across various modes for rewards, alongside a plethora of new features such as a PvP map named “Tomb,” new enemies, an emote system, and improvements to armory data.
In March 2025, another update for Space Marine 2 rolled out, focusing on game balance by tweaking perks. This patch also ironed out several minor bugs impacting gameplay, like a glitch causing the Assault class to teleport unintentionally when using its Jump Pack ability.
With the high standard set by Space Marine 2, boasting a “Very Positive” rating on Steam, the upcoming Space Marine 3 has quite the reputation to uphold. Players eagerly await to see what Saber Interactive has in store, trusting the developer to deliver another thrilling installment in this beloved series.
