This insight comes from the latest data by Midia Research, which anticipates a gradual climb to $44.5 billion in 2025, and projects a significant leap to $55.8 billion by the time we reach 2031. Within the gaming revenue landscape for 2024, PCs accounted for 21 percent. However, this still placed them behind console gaming, which brought in $41.5 billion, and mobile gaming, which dominated the charts with a staggering $108.1 billion.
PC games weren’t just making waves in overall revenue; they also contributed a hefty 38 percent to the premium segment, which includes downloadable content, throughout the year.
