Hey everyone! I’m Yosuke Futami, the producer behind Synduality Echo of Ada. We are incredibly excited about tomorrow, as that’s when Drifters everywhere will dive into the world of Amasia with their Cradlecoffin mechs and loyal Magus partners for the Open Network Test!
For those unfamiliar with Synduality, here’s the gist. It kicks off in the year 2222 after a toxic rain nearly wipes out humanity, giving rise to terrifying creatures known as Enders. What’s left of mankind lives underground, venturing to the surface only to scavenge resources while sheltered in these massive, 20-foot tall mechs called Cradlecoffins. But there’s a twist—these mechs are too complex for humans to operate alone. That’s where your AI buddy, the Magus, comes in. Your Magus will have a tangible presence and appear as a digital projection, offering help during battles as you hunt for vital resources in Amasia’s ruins. Gather everything you can to enhance base facilities, acquire better parts for your Cradlecoffin, and keep the human race going.
Much like in the anime, your Magus isn’t just an assistant; it’s your most trusted comrade in Amasia. This AI evolves alongside you, pinpointing crucial map locations if you’re on a resource run or showing where to ambush if you’re targeting other Drifters. What keeps Synduality thrilling is the unpredictable nature of your peers—will they team up to gather necessities and conquer tough foes, or will a top bounty hunter decide to eliminate competitors and loot their treasures? During our Closed Network Test earlier, some Drifters almost reached safety, only for one to turn rogue and seize everything for himself. A firm reminder: in Synduality Echo of Ada, your Magus is your only reliable ally.
Reflecting on the previous Closed Network Test, our team’s been busy fine-tuning the game. As an extraction shooter, Synduality may introduce you to some new gameplay elements, so we’ve developed a comprehensive tutorial for newcomers. Given that it’s an online world, minimizing lag during raids was paramount, and we’ve also been diligently working on weapon and PvE balance. Your feedback during the Open Network Test will be invaluable, so please share your thoughts! Insights from our earlier test and player surveys have been crucial in shaping the game for an outstanding release.
In today’s reveal, we also introduced the thrilling solo missions. This PvE aspect deepens the Synduality narrative—uncover Amasia’s fall and the roles Drifter and Magus played in it. Dive into these missions without risking your equipment, although you can’t keep any newly found weapons. Here, you’ll strategize over resources and face unique enemies. As you play, discover logs and records that unravel Amasia’s saga through cut scenes and more in the complete game.
Kicking off tomorrow, explore new garage choices, Magus options, costumes, weapons, and equipment during the Open Network Test. Whether you’re a seasoned Drifter or it’s your inaugural trek to Amasia, we look forward to seeing you join the fray. Best of luck out there, Drifters!
