The much-loved farming simulator, Stardew Valley, has achieved an impressive milestone, selling over 26 million copies just on PC.
This exciting update comes directly from Eric “ConcernedApe” Barone, the creator of Stardew Valley. He recently refreshed the game’s press page with some eye-catching figures, revealing that by the end of December 2024, the game had surpassed 41 million units sold across all platforms. On top of that, sales on the Nintendo Switch reached 7.9 million copies.
The fact that PC sales alone have reached 26 million means Stardew Valley has seen its numbers double since May 2022. Back then, the game had already hit the impressive milestone of 20 million units total. Clearly, these last couple of years have been truly exceptional for the game’s growth.
This surge in sales conveniently aligns with Stardew Valley being offered at a discount during the latest Steam Sale, which undoubtedly played a part in boosting its numbers. Additionally, the release of the significant 1.6 update in 2024 likely attracted new players and brought back existing fans, further contributing to its fantastic sales performance.
